Protecting our Middlesex Architectural Heritage

Middlesex County is blessed with an extensive collection of historic buildings dotting our scenic location here on the Chesapeake Bay. Spanning a time frame from the 1700s through the 1900s, these buildings are full of architectural details that set them apart from modern homes built today. With elements such as handmade bricks, ornamental embellishments of crown molding, wainscoting, and corbels, and hand blown glass in their doors and windows they are full of charm and pedigreed presence. These buildings tell stories of our past residents and their lives spent here in Middlesex. Join the Middlesex County Museum on August the 9th at 3:00 PM in the historic County Courthouse as we learn more about ways to protect this collection of grand dams.
