About the event

The Middlesex County Museum & Historical Society and the Virginia Department of Historic Resources are sponsoring the dedication of a new historic highway marker to replace the original 1930 historic highway marker for Hewick Plantation, 5123 Old Virginia Street, Urbanna in conjunction with Arts in the Middle at 10am on Saturday, June 7 .  The original marker for Hewick was erected on Route 17 near Warner. The new marker will be placed at the gate of Hewick adjacent to a historic marker that was erected in 1992 about Hewick owner Christopher Robinson. Photographs and historical information about Hewick will be on view at the dedication. This event has been designated as a 250 event in commemoration of the founding of our country.
