One Woman's Opinion
by Mary Wakefield Buxton
Opinions.  Everybody has opinions, and when you stop and think
about it, they are what make our society work.  Opinions lead to
decisions, whether they're expressed in the halls of Congress or in
our own homes.  And the marvelous thing is, there are lots of opinions
about every conceivable subject.
Mary Wakefield Buxton gives us "One Woman's Opinion,"
sticking out her neck frequently to tackle some of the most
controversial topics of our times.  She does this at some sacrifice to
the quiet life-style we associate with small town living, since her
neighbors are the very people who read her column and quickly react
if she has expressed the "wrong" opinion.  In the forward to this book
she lists some of the names she has been called.
But Mary keeps 'em coming.  She's out to get you...to get you
thinking, studying, laughing, cursing, and generally joining the
dialogue that leads to making a decision, taking a stand, based on
your own opinions.
